Underground Project Field Engineer - Botswana FIFO

CSG are currently partnered with a leading EPCM who have projects across the globe. They take mining and construction projects from concept, through planning all the way to operations. This role will require the successful candidate to be working on a rotation, fly-in, fly-out.

The Project Engineer will be reporting into the Construction Manager and will be responsible for carrying out a variety of useful technical, administrative, and engineering support tasks for the underground mine construction project in order to guarantee its safe, efficient, and economical completion.

Duties of the Project Engineer include-

  • Lead development of a detailed project schedules and budgets and ensure these plans respect all health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Drive good outcomes of all aspects of project scope including planning, engineering, procurement/contracting, construction, and/or hand-over.
  • Communicate effectively as required in meetings, presentations, formal letters, progress reports from weekly progress meetings to presentations.

Required qualifications and skill requirements-

  • Degree in Mining Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 5 + years of site based experience in technical support for underground mine planning and engineering, and underground contractor management.
  • Experience in underground EPCM mining projects or as an underground contractor.
