Our Cient is a Global leading food manufacturing orgainsiton, they continue to grow rapidly and supply into retail and food servies.

The role

Support the site in all aspects of Planning, inventory, materials, procurement, warehousing and logistics.The key responsibilities of this position are:

  • Develop a manufacturing and distribution strategy to support achieving target customer service levels and customer service levels with a minimum investment in inventories.
  • Guide the development and maintenance of ongoing network supply and capacity planning. Lead medium sized team, consisting of Supply and Replenishment planners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the positioning and maintenance of finished goods inventories, in such a way to balance customer fill rate, inventory carrying costs and transportation. Establish guidelines to achieve cost-efficient movement of finished goods while maintaining minimum inventory investment.
  • Anticipate and communicate current and potential problems and opportunities to Senior Management, Sales, Marketing and Customer Service so they can make appropriate decisions. Work with Line of Business Team to resolve problems.
  • Monitor FG and NFG inventory and manage aged stock, SKU rationalized inventory, and restricted stock (hold, damage, etc.) to maximize sales revenue and minimize P&L impact.
  • Plan and communicate with Transportation & Warehousing on annual and periodic freight and warehousing flow changes.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science, Engineering, Finance or a related area.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible food processing management experience in a complex food-manufacturing environment, including significant experience managing large new product initiatives. Streamlining cost portfolio across Sites supporting large category growth strategies.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information, identify data relationships and dependencies, and design workflows and procedures

  • Understanding of integrated planning systems; Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Distribution Requirements Planning

  • Strong background in food processing
