About the Company:
Our client is a global leader in mineral processing, with over 170 assets around the world. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee the construction of a new plant in Bathurst, NSW.
This project is anticipated to last between 18 to 24 months.
Role responsibilities:
- Manage and instruct construction site workers, setting schedules and monitoring performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of the construction site to ensure compliance and safety.
- Identify and manage potential safety hazards promptly.
- Address site issues and delays in a timely manner.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).
- Collaborate with the project manager and engineers to align activities with the project plan.
- Verify that work techniques are safe and effective.
- Manage orders and deliveries of building materials.
- Complete site reports and maintain accurate records.
- Attend construction site management meetings.
- Contribute to a positive workplace culture aligned with core values.
- Take immediate action to control and report Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality risks.
- Participate in cross-functional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Building and Construction.
- At least 3 years of experience in construction site supervision.
- Knowledge of building and construction methods.
- Familiarity with construction regulations and health and safety legislation.
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans.
- Experience in quality control.
- Current Construction White Card.
- First Aid & CPR certificates.
- Valid Australian driver's license.
