Our client are currently looking for a Senior Process Engineer to join their talented team in the above locations and contribute to their growth and success.

Founded in Australia in 2011, this company has been established in Montreal since 2016, as well as in Houston and Toronto. They specialise in the design, procurement and construction management of mineral processing plants, contributing to the electrification of transportation.

The role:

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the process engineering calculations, mass balances, establishing design criteria, developing process flow diagrams (PFDs) and P&IDs. You will assist in process design and other deliverables required by our clients by providing a solid knowledge and understanding of the working methods and techniques applied in the design of process facilities, outputs for studies and coordination with other disciplines.

You will also contribute to the development and implementation of metallurgical function for their American branches. This is a permanent full-time position for their Montreal office, reporting to the Process Engineering Manager.

Qualifications, skills, abilities and experiences:

  • Degree in Process, Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering
  • Preference for an OIQ members license
  • At least 10 years experience in engineering, operations or commissioning work
  • Experience in resource industries (Mining/Oil & Gas)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • High level of analytical skills used to solve complex problem
  • Ability to work effectively with company personnel
  • Strong perception and implementation of SSE
  • Ability to work effectively with company personnel

  • Ability to be flexible and resourceful enough to cope with the inherent fluctuations in the workload of the profession
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French and English)
  • Provide assistance as needed or requested
  • Deliver a quality product on time
  • Have a solid understanding of applicable codes of practice
  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics and technical drawings
