CSG have partnered with an exciting Advanced Aerospace organisation developing UAVs for inspection and agriculture services. This is a great opportunity to join a scale-up and work on turn-key engineering projects. You would report directly into the VP Engineering, we have opportunities for you to be a pivotal team member and ultimately build out a function around you.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Embedded Software Development: Uses C/C/C++ on a Realtime embedded platform to develop multiple different avionic applications (Sensors, Navigation, Auotpilot).
• Autopilot: Customises and optimises off-the-shelf autopilots for different applications / customers.
• Avionics Integration: Integrates different avionic components to the UAV, heavily involved with integration testing and HiL /SiL.
• Software documentation and adherence to regulatory standards where applicable (Do178).

Skills and Experience necessary:

• Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficient in Embedded C/C++/Python
• 10+ years experience in Embedded Software, at least 5 years in an Aerospace role.
• Experienced with different autopilots and how they integrate into Hardware.
• Significant experience in embedded Linux or RTOS.
• Experience with CI/CD and Qt.
