As a Senior Electrical Engineer & Systems Integrator, you are responsible for coordinating and implementing electrical and control system plans to achieve the strategic objectives of the production facility.

Your Responsibilities

  • You prepare concept designs and cost estimates for Electrical Distribution & Control Systems for projects in the Annual Capital Plan.
  • You implement the Annual Capital Plan within your area of responsibility, coordinating projects to minimize downtime and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • You perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications for electrical distribution systems.
  • You inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with electrical designs, equipment specifications, and safety standards.
  • You provide ongoing support to the Operations Team for their specific control systems, including upgrades, modifications, training, and service needs.
  • You maintain documentation for all control systems and electrical schematics within the production plants.
  • You maximize the effectiveness of electrical contractors through daily interaction with crew leaders, ensuring they follow company requirements for security, safety, and good manufacturing practices.
  • You communicate weekly with production teams through transition meetings, keeping them informed about the status of relevant projects, including schedules and capital issues.
  • You coordinate electrical system reliability with the local electrical utility company.
  • You troubleshoot problems and resolve issues as they arise.
  • You offer support and training for the electrical distribution system.
  • You use computer-assisted engineering software, such as AutoCAD, to complete your tasks efficiently.

What You Will Need

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and at least seven years of electrical engineering experience.
  • The ability to lead contract labor and in-house resources outside of your direct influence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (e.g., Outlook) and electrical engineering software.
  • Working knowledge of electrical code requirements.
  • Expertise in process control systems hardware and software.
  • A solid understanding of electrical distribution systems and electrical design for plants.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Additional

  • Ten years of electrical engineering experience.
  • Experience with SAP software.
  • Background in the dairy or food production industry.
