Senior Food Scientist - Dairy (Relo to Kansas)

CSG Talent are working with a highly regarded dairy product manufacturer that has a global presence & exciting growth plans.

We are assisting them to hire 3 key R&D related positions at Senior Scientist levels to work across dairy/cream, spreads & fresh dairy product categories. They are all newly created positions that are being created due to growth & new product development requirements.

Please note, this position requires you to be located in the Kansas City region, on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the cream/spreads or new product R&D product portfolio for all channels (ie Retail, FS, private label, industrial)
• Translating consumer insights to designing together with the international R&D support and local Marketing new product extension and new product platforms
• Upscaling product idea from lab scale over pilot to Industrial Launch scale
• Proactively translating and proposing business needs to build the funnels
• Continuously seeks for new opportunities to improve quality and cost and translating for upscale feasibly, in teamwork with the local and international R&D business partner
• Work with marketing to optimize and build the US market portfolio

Requirements:

• Proven track record of end to end product development within specific dairy settings (creams, spreads etc)
• Master of science degree in Food science
• Ability to work in a local and international multifunctional project team environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Multiple years of hands on technology experience in dairy or plant passed UHT, creams, emulsion, and similar liquid process.
• Successful R&D project leader experience
