SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring a safe working environment. Key duties include managing the production process, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring staffing and line maintenance. Responsibilities also involve checking daily production orders, ensuring all positions are filled before start-up, overseeing morning exercises and job rotation, and ensuring machinery and workstations meet high standards and pass USDA Inspection. Safety promotion is critical, both daily and through monthly meetings. The role requires ensuring accurate shipments, inventory rotation, and product coding. Additionally, it involves communicating company benefits and policies to Team Members, providing encouragement, and handling human relations functions such as training, retention, and counseling. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity, along with excellent leadership and communication skills to foster a positive and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
Experience: At least 1 year in a meat manufacturing environment is required with prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Education: High school diploma required; additional education such as special training, vocational school, or college courses is preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are helpful.
Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position involves supervising a team of personnel who perform similar and related tasks.
Travel: Requires 1-5 trips per year.
