Product Engineer

Product Engineer / CAD Designer / CAD Manager / Draftsman - Lebanon, PA

The product engineer role is a design position dedicated to improving current designs and the development of new designs. This role supports internal and external manufacturing, vendors and customers in daily business activities as required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers and design teams to create detailed mechanical designs and specifications for mixing and material handling systems that meet industry standards and client requirements.
• Development of 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using CAD software (SolidWorks Preferred) to illustrate components, assemblies, and systems.
• Management of drafting standards and CAD document control processes. (Solidworks Vault, Solidworks, and Draftsight). CAD ERP system administration (Solidworks Vault).
• Contribute to design reviews and brainstorming sessions, providing innovative ideas to address design challenges and improve product performance.
• Inspect and consult on non-conformance parts through the company FQMR system. Determine if parts are usable and provide dispositions to the vendor.
• Assist with technical consultations and equipment commissioning that may include travel to customer locations throughout the US (up to 20%) with occasional international travel.
• Perform on-site inspections of manufactured components and/or vendor facilities
• Work closely with the production team to assist in manufacturing and quality assurance and control.
• Support the sales team by providing technical support and assisting in customer meetings and discussions.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering disciple
• 2-5 years of experience in a machine design role
• US citizenship/greencard
• 3D & 2D drafting and design
• Capial equipment design
