We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at a leading dairy manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all production equipment, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards. As a hands-on leader, you will manage and guide a team of maintenance technicians, focusing on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and support a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime and minimize unexpected breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment in a timely manner, ensuring that all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
- Enforce safety standards, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and equipment, tracking usage and costs to optimize stock levels.
- Analyze equipment performance and maintenance data, recommending improvements, upgrades, or modifications to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with production management to proactively address equipment needs and align maintenance activities with production schedules.
- Create and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts replacements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in food or dairy production.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience training and managing a maintenance team.
- Strong understanding of safety and regulatory compliance, including OSHA and FDA standards.
- Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and other maintenance software is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings, to support production schedules as needed.
