General Manager - Missouri

A well-established construction equipment dealership group is seeking a General Manager to lead and develop two key Missouri branches. This is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who understands how to operate in non-standard markets, build tailored strategies, and drive long-term growth across both sales and operations.

One branch is at a pivotal stage, requiring a strategic revamp, while the second location is performing well operationally but needs additional sales leadership and commercial momentum. This is a high-impact, long-term leadership role suited to a proven operator who wants a meaningful challenge and the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy.

Position Overview

The General Manager will have full commercial and operational ownership of two branch locations, with primary responsibility centered on rebuilding and accelerating one market while continuing to strengthen the second.

This role requires creating and executing a localized growth strategy, rather than copying a corporate playbook. The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening service development, elevating sales execution, and driving increased market penetration in core product lines, with the opportunity to layer in additional products as performance improves.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Full leadership of sales, service, rental, and operations across two branch locations.
  • Building and executing a market-specific growth strategy tailored to local dynamics.
  • Developing the service business to properly support long-term equipment and customer growth.
  • Driving increased market share within core equipment product lines.
  • Using rental as a strategic growth lever to open new accounts and convert future sales.
  • Elevating sales execution, accountability, and performance management.
  • Partnering with local leadership to strengthen commercial performance at the secondary branch.
  • Making long-term structural decisions to position both operations for sustained success.
  • Recruiting, developing, and retaining high-quality leadership and frontline talent.

Ideal Background Includes:

  • Proven experience leading branches within a construction equipment, industrial equipment, or dealership environment.
  • Demonstrated success building market-specific sales and growth strategies.
  • Experience developing service and aftermarket operations.
  • Track record of leading through change, turnaround, or greenfield growth environments.
  • High-accountability leadership style with a people-first mindset.
