About the Company

Our client is a global leader in manufacturing and distributor of scientific instruments and analytical and diagnostic solutions. Focusing on industrial applications, driving innovation, and success in molecular, cellular, and microscopic research.

They are on the hunt for an experienced Field Service Engineer to work in their Perth, WA office. The role will involve installing and troubleshooting equipment, training customers, managing accounts, and ensuring safety and compliance.

This role will require site visits internationally.
Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-performance scientific instruments and systems at customer sites.
  • Provide technical support and hands-on training to customers to optimize system performance and ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams and factory support to resolve complex technical challenges and implement solutions.
  • Manage customer accounts by delivering exceptional service and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company's and customers' safety, cleanliness, and operational protocols.
  • Document and report all service activities and outcomes promptly and accurately.

Requirements

  • A technical degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in field service or technical support roles, ideally with advanced scientific instruments or diagnostic solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex technical issues effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong customer relationships.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to varying customer environments. With more than 80% travel within Australia and Internationally.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and operational best practices.
  • Preferred knowledge of servicing X-ray instruments.
