We are partnered with a global leader in TIC Services, to support in the appointment of an Engineering Leader to their market leading global Renewable Energy TIC business unit. Based in Germany the Engineering Manager will lead the certification team focusing on local & regional grid code compliance.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 9 people to operational excellence in the field of evaluations and certifications (related to local and regional grid code compliance of power generating units, interconnection equipment and systems).
- Establish relationships with grid operators in the region and main countries in order to increase knowledge of their needs and our ability to serve them.
- Work closely with clients to assist them in meeting evolving regulatory standards for steady-state performance.
- Monitor and identify changes in grid codes regionally in order to drive necessary changes to maintain competitive readiness within the market
- Ensure effective workflow by engaging with cross-functional leads and customers in order to understand scope of projects and technical needs in order to assign resources effectively.
- Collaborate with other subject matter experts and Principal Engineers to facilitate cross-functional requirements and support development of new evaluation programs.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in directly in the renewable energy sector
- Experience working with German Grid Code Compliance Requirements - ideally as part of an accredited certification body
- Strong understanding of project and product Certification for Grid Code Compliance
- Degree (equivalent to a Bachelors degree) / Background in electrical or renewable energy engineering
- Lean Sigma Green Belt or Lean Leadership Training, Gage R& R experience or equivalent preferred.
- Experience managing a team ideally in a global environment
- Ability to manage employee performance using performance expectations and goals and responding to employee relations issues
- Ability to promote services to technical and commercial decision makers, owners, operators, lenders as well as to investors; strategic and commercial mindset.
- Strong customer focus and strong interpersonal skills to establish trustful relationships, ability to sell and to close orders.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German.
