A rapidly expanding and highly respected work truck upfitter and utility equipment dealer is seeking a Corporate Sales Manager to lead the aggressive growth of its commercial division. With production capacity having increased significantly, the business is now ready to accelerate sales and is looking for a leader who can help take the operation to the next level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for professionalizing the sales organization, building a true hunter culture, and developing the strategy needed to scale into new territories and markets.

Position Overview

The Sales Manager will take full ownership of the commercial sales function, currently leading a team of six sales representatives, with a clear mandate to grow that team and expand the company's market footprint. This role will be responsible for designing and executing the go-to-market strategy, building territory plans, and driving disciplined sales execution across both existing and new markets.

With production output now scaled and ready to support significant growth, the focus of this role is simple: build momentum, increase market penetration, and win new business. This is a true leadership role that blends strategy, structure, and hands-on coaching in the field.

The business represents a range of high-quality utility truck equipment OEMs, alongside its core upfitting operations, providing a strong foundation for growth across multiple commercial verticals.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading, organizing, and developing a commercial sales team of 6 reps, with responsibility to scale the team as the business grows.
  • Creating and executing a comprehensive go-to-market strategy to drive accelerated commercial growth.
  • Developing structured territory plans, target account lists, and market expansion strategies.
  • Expanding the company's presence into new geographic markets and commercial verticals.
  • Driving a clear hunter mentality across the sales organization, with strong new-business development focus.
  • Implementing sales structure, reporting, and accountability to improve execution and forecasting.
  • Working closely with leadership and production to align capacity with sales demand.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and raising performance standards across the entire sales team.

Ideal Background Includes:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager, Commercial Sales Manager, or similar leadership role within work trucks, upfitting, vocational vehicles, equipment, or commercial fleet.
  • Demonstrated success in growing teams and scaling sales organizations.
  • Strong background in new business development and market expansion.
  • Experience building territory plans, target account strategies, and go-to-market models.
  • A true hunter mentality, with the ability to drive that culture into a wider team.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Commercially minded, data-driven, and highly execution-focused.
