CSG Talent are recruiting for the Electrical Engineer to join global company who are passionate about building progress for people by providing essential building materials.

This role is located in Western Pennsylvania.


The Electrical Engineer supports capital projects during the concept design, engineering, construction, and commissioning phases throughout all assets in the company. This person will be a subject matter expert for electrical systems in the company. Projects will be located at all US based sites.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical guidance on equipment selection, configuration, and troubleshooting of power systems, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, starters, VFDs, motors, and feeders.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Process, and Project Management Teams to develop electrical and engineering project scopes, estimations, specifications, control narratives, and conceptual designs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in electrical engineering, supporting system design, engineering reviews, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advise on electrical engineering functions such as power loading analysis, device coordination, arc flash safety, energy use, and short circuit studies.
  • Review and approve work from external engineering consultants, including flow diagrams, single-line drawings, P&IDs, schematics, RFQs, and vendor documentation.
  • Assist Operations in troubleshooting process control systems and recommend cost-effective solutions for improvements, including instrumentation selection, PLCs, data networks, and HMI systems.
  • Manage and coordinate internal and external resources for project execution.
  • Oversee electrical system commissioning to ensure scope completion, functionality, and proper documentation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Associates degree in engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical, instrumentation, preferably in the building materials/mining or bulk material handling industry; project engineering is a plus.
  • Experience with industrial power tasks like power factor correction, grounding, motor tests, power quality, electrical protection settings, VFD configuration, instrument calibration, etc.
  • Highly skilled with process control instrumentation, calibration, and troubleshooting; HMI and PLC programs
