We are partnered with an electric power industry engineering, consulting, & research services organisation to support with the hire of a Business Development director. The BD Directors mission will be to develop United States Consultancy business for the Company with focus on Investor-Owned Utility Clients.

The ideal candidate has previously built strong relationships with some of the major partners within the USA utilities industry (especially IOU's & RTO/ISO) & has experience with Technology Consulting. If this sounds like you keep reading…

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Business Development activities across the United States selling the full portfolio of consulting services
• Build & Develop relationships with Investor-owned Utilities (IOUs) to develop new business opportunities
• Use your experience delivering operational technology for utilities to work with internal stakeholders to sell solutions utilising existing portfolio of services
• Set the standard internally for thinking commercially
• Coordinate and collaborate with departments & personnel both domestically and across the wider business to maximise business opportunities and gain internal resources where needed

The ideal candidate will:

• Be an experienced Business Developer with a passion for hunting and bringing on new business
• Demonstrated strong experience with electrical utility Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) and/or electric utility Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS)
• Have built strong relationships with some of the major partners within the USA utilities industry (especially IOU's & RTO/ISO)
• Be experienced selling consultancy services in the electric utilities industry
• Be operating at the executive level, demonstrating the characteristics of a culture leader and standard setter
• Have experience leading a 'to market' business development strategy
• Be results focused and passionate about winning new business and demonstrating market leading customer service
