On Friday 20th January, CSG Talent held their People
Awards ceremony at the Directors Suite at Headingley Stadium. The event was a
huge success at a stunning venue close to our UK headquarters, the hospitality
team, videographers and technicians were all on hand to ensure the event ran
smoothly.
We had over 80 of our employees attend, predominantly from our UK
offices but we were delighted some of our Directors from both Australia and
Dubai were able to attend the event, some of whom accepted awards themselves.
Each year, we present awards based on performance and company-wide nominations from leadership and colleagues across the globe. Some of the awards presented are focused around the role of consultant and more performance and client/candidate experience led, whereas others are related to employees who live and breathe CSG values, who make an impact on the business, their management style and the support and contribution they make to the wider business. There were a huge number of fantastic shortlists this year and positive to see such a diverse range of both nominations and winners across all business functions.
Last year, as a business we set ourselves goals to focus on
throughout 2022, with this we were keen to hit specific financial targets, headcount
growth, developing our customer and employee experience, facilitating a
supportive and diverse environment and a strong leadership team focused on
business growth and high performing teams. The leadership team had a vision to
achieve commercial, people and operational goals and we are delighted to see
how many of those goals were achieved throughout the year.
Jamie
Thatcher, Group MD; “We set Commercial, Operational and People goals to
help us achieve growth, ensure we deliver exceptional customer experiences,
with high performing and supportive teams in a great place to work.”
Over the last 12 months, our marketing team have launched a new
website and focused their efforts on our digital presence, reaching a wider
audience of clients and candidates across the globe through social media
channels, thought leadership content and hosted our first live webinar.
Alongside this, we have improved business processes with enhanced management
information and systems training, where we are already seeing many benefits
across all business functions.
Throughout 2022, we recruited a high number of new employees around the globe, across all business functions, bringing the total number of new employees who joined CSG Talent to 44. We welcomed eight new employees in Australia, four in Dubai and 32 in the UK.
The CSG Recruitment Academy has seen huge success throughout it’s
second year, with 11 academy graduations in 2022. The calibre of academy
graduates is testament to our Head of Academy, Steph Rae and the level of
training and support the academy receive. We’re excited to see how the academy
continues to grow and branch out to further global locations throughout 2023
and beyond.
Not only have we focused on growing new teams, but we’ve also
focused on the development of existing employees and we are delighted to have
seen an incredible 49 promotions internally. This has been a result of our
management development programme, account management and systems training,
frequent learning lounges and mentor Mondays. Find out more on training and
development at CSG Talent here.
Our HR and People team launched an enhanced benefits package and policies across all global locations in 2022, with a focus on family, health, and wellbeing. Some of the newly launched benefits include extended maternity and paternity leave, contributions to IVF treatment and extended loss of pregnancy leave. All our employees have access to private healthcare, free gym membership, a cycle to work scheme and an EV car scheme, with some slight variations in offices across the globe based on locational differences. The positive feedback we have received from our existing teams and potential new employees has been great to hear, our benefits package is truly valued by employees, having a big impact on their personal and professional lives.
2022 was the year of travel! With many of our teams travelling
overseas to meet candidates, clients and attend industry leading events. The
pandemic resulted in travel restrictions for some time, so it’s been great to
see our consultants increase their travel throughout the year, we know how
beneficial events and in-person meetings can be to their roles and overall
development. Not only work related travel, our teams across the globe also had
the opportunity to experience short breaks and trips away as part of our reward
and recognition initiatives. This included trips to Tenerife, Mallorca and the
Gold Coast in Australia!
Our Diversity and Inclusion committee, alongside our charity and
social committees have been hard at work throughout 2022 to support local
charities, celebrate causes close to our employees’ hearts and recognise
significant calendar events with a focus on inclusion and belonging. Over £6,000 was raised through fitness
events, food bank drives, virtual races night and more. All global teams had
access to unconscious bias training, mental health workshops and we celebrated
International Women’s Day, Mental Health Day, Ramadan and many more significant
events throughout the year.
As a business, we recognise that all processes are a work in
progress, and we continually strive to improve and enhance our employee and
customer experience. We are focused on being a great place to work where our
teams feel supported, valued and rewarded for the value they ring to the
business. Holding our annual awards and reviewing the previous years
performance, recognising all our employees who contribute to our business
success across all functions is always a great event to be a part of.
