Leaving university with a Law Degree, Wayne started his first job at Ellis Fairbank in 1998. He worked predominately within the Electronics, Facilities Management and Clinical IT markets placing senior-level candidates, and quickly progressed from top new starter all the way up to top biller and manager.
Following his success, Wayne partnered with colleague Ben Riley to set up a new independent recruitment firm, Rilwood Associates, in 2003. After just one year, they went on to establish their second recruitment company, Core Consulting, and over the next few years four others. In total, Wayne and Ben set up six specialist recruitment companies, which were then merged in 2015 to form what we now know as CSG: The Global Talent Experts.
The objective of the merger was to facilitate a group share option scheme, harmonise best practice between all of the businesses and allow for the investment in more support functions and numerous international offices.
On a day to day basis, Wayne works across the business mentoring CSG’s expert consultants, innovating how they work as individuals but also improving how the company works as a group. Much of his role is to manage any challenges that arise within the business to ensure that it runs smoothly.
“My vision for CSG is for us to be a trusted recruitment partner globally, to provide the highest quality recruitment service wherever in the world our clients and candidates are located, facilitated by our expert recruiters. As an employer, I want CSG to be a great place to work for our employees, a company where they can develop personally and have numerous opportunities available to them such as the chance to work in one of our international offices. Ultimately, I want our employees, our fellow shareholders, to be as proud of where they work as I am myself.”
